Junko's Story: Chapter 9I had never been to Deling City before, or any large city for that matter. It never made much sense to me why large groups of people would want to live in a congested area where so much could go wrong. When we reached the shore in the raft, I was surprised to see what seemed to be a makeshift port. Flimsy shacks were littered across the beach, but they clustered near the dock. As we drew closer, I could see that the shacks were actually crude shops. I love how rich and colorful this is, but also I'm really impressed with how you rendered the left hand covering her face! How you made the skin look translucent to see the blood running through her fingers, it give a sense that she's alive.

I've never worked with watercolors before but I've always liked them. Do you mind telling me how long it took you to do this? I'm just curious is all.

thank you for all your observations ^ ^ This took me maybe about 20 hours start to finish. It has a lot of very transparent layers, so about 1/4 of that time was drying time rather than actual painting time
