Tomorrow is the one year anniversary of my dad passing away and I was looking through pictures and these two were the most striking to me. I took both pictures in early September exactly 10 years apart.The one on the left was taken about a week after my dad was admitted to a nursing home for rehabilitation after his stroke, my sister sitting next to him was a year old at the time. The image on the right was taken at the same nursing home facility where my dad was receiving palliative/hospice care while he battled lung cancer; my sister also had just turned 11.
